Annual Trophy Competiton

The
Story
At the Third Culture Film Festival, we celebrate more than just the art of filmmaking; we celebrate creativity in all its forms. Our annual 3D Printed Trophy Design Competition is a testament to this ethos. Each year, we invite talented New Zealand designers to create a unique trophy that not only symbolizes the spirit of our festival but also pushes the boundaries of design and technology.

Embracing Local Talent: This competition is a platform for local artists and designers to showcase their skills and innovative ideas. It highlights the incredible talent found right here in New Zealand, giving artists the recognition they deserve on both a national and international stage.

Innovation and Sustainability: Our choice to use 3D printing technology is deliberate. It allows us to explore new forms of manufacturing that are both innovative and sustainable, reducing waste and allowing for complex, intricate designs that traditional methods could not achieve.

A Collectible Legacy: Each trophy is not just a prize; it's a collectible piece of art. Winners of the festival take home something unique and bespoke, a symbol of excellence that is as forward-thinking as the films we celebrate.

Participation and Details: The competition is open to all New Zealand residents with a flair for design and creativity. Details on how to enter, submission guidelines, and timelines can be found on our 'Competitions' page. Winners are announced during the festival, and their designs become a part of TCFF's ongoing legacy, celebrated and displayed at events and in various media.

Join us in fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. Whether you're a seasoned designer or a budding artist, this is your chance to make your mark on the film community and beyond.
